245 INDIAN CREEK RENOVATION
245 Indian Creek Renovation
This project involved the gut renovation of a 3500 square foot mid-century modern house in the same neighborhood as Louis Kahn’s Genel House. The new owners purchased the house with the intention of maintaining the modernist features while opening it to be more light, airy, and connected to the outdoor landscape. The interior spaces were reoriented to maximize views, and previous renovations that were out of character were stripped away, allowing the spatial experience to revolve around a central hearth connecting the upper and lower levels. The kitchen was relocated to connect with an outdoor patio and serve as the center of family activity. Work also included new bathrooms, windows, skylights, and new finishes throughout.
