AGENCY, ETHICS, AND ISSUES IN DESIGN SEMINAR COURSE

Agency, Ethics, Issues in Design Seminar

The conversation in and around design increasingly deals with larger social concerns: inequality, consumption, diversity, climate, media, etc. This course provided students an opportunity to explore agency (what might we do) and ethics (how might we do) in the context of these contemporary issues. Through reading, discussion, and projects, students worked to articulate their relationship with these issues and formulate responses both large and utopian and small and concrete.
